7 Ideas to keep $ in your bank!

I just read a amazing article on Yahoo! Finance about saving money in these though times. I thought it was very simple and effective so I thought I would share some of the ideas with you all. If you would like to read the whole thing read it here.

Idea # 1: Use an automatic debit program to make credit card payments. These can easily be set up online or by calling up your bank. Hopefully you'll never be late again and this will reduce your late fees, which can sometimes be as high $40 each month.

So... if your late 6 times a year that's $240 your throwing away. Just imagine having an extra $240 every year, which is the equivalent of a $0.12 raise. Good job! you just got a raise for paying your bills on time!!!

The Wisdom of Imam Abu Hanifa

An interesting story I read on http://www.darulqasim.org/

A man came to Imam Abu Hanifa and explained that he had burried some wealth in a place but he had forgotten where it was. Imam Abu Hanifa said to him : "This is not a question of fiqh (jurisprudence) that I can give you guidance on. However, go home and perform Salaah the entire night. Insha-Allah you will soon remember. The man did as he was told. Not even a quarter of the night had passed when the man remembered where he had burried his wealth. He came back to Imam Abu Hanifa and told him what had happened. The Imam explained : "I knew that Shaitaan would not allow you to perform Salaah the entire night and he would make you remember the place. Why did you not spend the remainder of the night in Salaah in gratitude to Allah?"

Pure genius...that's why these scholars are remembered even today.
